Zojila Pass: Jammu & Kashmir

At a height of 11575 feet, Zoji La (La means Mountain Pass) is the first mountain pass on NH 1D which connects Srinagar to Leh and is the Second highest after 'Fotu La'.

This PASS is very strategically located and is close to Indo-Pak border.







From Zozila there are two descending routes for Srinagar. The other route is higher than the normal track and is a jeep track. Army/BRO diverts the traffic via this route if they find the regular route terribly bad or slushy.
